baccalaureate and moving day

friday, april 30th
i have heard the word baccalaureate but never knew what it meant. i was told while studying for my last final that it was kind of a big deal to attend the baccalaureate service. i then called my mom and told her that instead of moving all day (on the friday before graduation) we would be attending my school's baccalaureate service.
come to find out that it is somewhat of a church service. i really enjoyed being there with my mom, gpa, claire and claire's parents. the sermon was given by rev. andrew bales (the CEO of union rescue mission of LA). the part i really enjoyed was the prayer of blessing given by dr. willis. i loved the part where he thanked God for all the friendships in our lives.
baccalaureate definition: a farewell sermon to a graduating class at their commencement ceremonies

after the baccalaureate we went and ate at
giovanni's in malibu (one of my favorites)
gpa's spaghetti
mom and i shared a pepperoni, mushroom and olive pizza
